I really love these old Yamahas. I don't know how, but the Japanese can keep these in such
amazing condition. It's formally 28 years old this year, and not only a stunningly gorgeous
instrument, but it sounds as sweet as it looks. Very mellow, warm creamy PAF-like tone that
Yamaha spent a lot of time perfecting. The wood they used on this guitar is of extremely high
quality. Just look at the grain of the body and the neck. Although Yamaha made some Super
Axe models up to the SA-2500, the only one that truly captures the essence of a standard,
original '59 Blond ES-335 is this one right here. No special coil-tapping or other high-end jazz.
This guitar is not precocious intentionally, but when you hear and see this guitar, WOW!
